iPhone limits an app to 64 notifications scheduled ahead, which is about ten days of adhan. The app extends them every time it is opened, and in the background when iOS allows. If you see this notification, opening the app once is enough.
iOS limits notification sounds to 30 seconds, so the opening of the adhan plays with the notification.
In Türkiye (and with the Diyanet method selected) the app downloads and shows Diyanet's own published timetable; in Malaysia, JAKIM's. Elsewhere the times are calculated with that country's own method. For calculated times, the calculation method and the school for the Asr time can be changed in Settings; where an official timetable is used, the times are read straight from it.
No. You can pick your city from the list; the app works without location. It is asked for only when you tap "Use my location" while choosing a city, and on the "Mosques" screen. Details are in the privacy policy.
Keep the phone away from metal and magnetic cases and turn it through a figure "8" in the air a few times. There is also a way that needs no compass at all: choose "By the sun" on the qibla screen.
