İndirdiğiniz Kur'an ses kayıtları yedeğe dâhil edilmez. Yedeklemeyi istemiyorsanız Android ayarlarından kapatabilirsiniz.

Bildirimler

Ezan bildirimleri tamamen cihaz içinde, telefonun alarm sistemiyle kurulur.

Huzur Vakti — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026 · This is a translation of the Turkish text above, which is the original.

In short: Huzur Vakti collects, stores and transmits no personal data. You do not need an account. It contains no advertising and no analytics. For prayer times and the qibla your location is used inside your phone only and is never sent anywhere. The one exception is the "Mosques" screen: to ask which mosques are nearby, your approximate location is sent to an OpenStreetMap server. If you never open that screen, that never happens.

Data collected

None. We run no server for this app; there is no record kept about you. No email address, phone number, device identifier or advertising identifier is collected.

Settings contain an optional name field, only so that the greeting on the home screen can use it. If you fill it in, it stays on your phone, is added to no request and is sent nowhere. You may leave it empty.

Location permission

The app optionally asks for the approximate location permission (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION). Precise/GPS location is never requested; a few hundred metres of accuracy is enough for prayer times and the qibla. The permission is used for three things:

For the first two, your location is sent to no server and is not shared with third parties. One thing is kept on your phone: if you use GPS, your last fix rounded to two decimal places (about 1 km). It is kept so that when location is off or cannot be had, the times and the adhan alarms carry on from that last place rather than from İstanbul; a new fix overwrites it, and choosing a city from the list deletes it.

The third is different, and we would rather say so plainly. When you press "Find nearby mosques" on the "Mosques" tab, your approximate coordinates go to OpenStreetMap's Overpass server as a query, and while map tiles are fetched the area you are in is seen by tile.openstreetmap.org. The addresses used are overpass-api.de, gall.openstreetmap.de, lz4.overpass-api.de and tile.openstreetmap.org. These requests carry no name, no identity and no device identifier; what leaves is a coordinate and a search radius. Your location is not stored by the app.

This is why the permission is requested not at launch but only when you press that button on that screen. If you never open the Mosques screen, your location never leaves the phone. If you decline the permission, that screen does not work and the rest of the app carries on as before; you pick your city by hand from a list of 90 countries and 600 cities.

How prayer times are calculated

Times are found on your device by astronomical calculation, using the method of the religious authority of your own country (Diyanet for Türkiye, JAKIM for Malaysia, Karachi for Pakistan, and so on). No internet connection is needed for this; the app works fully offline.

Downloading an official timetable: a calculation is a reproduction of the timetable an authority publishes, and the authority's own printed timetable is more exact. So if the authority the app already follows publishes a timetable for your city, the app downloads it a few times a year and keeps it on your device. Today this applies to two authorities: Diyanet (Türkiye, and anyone who picks the Diyanet method in settings) and JAKIM (Malaysia). Each user's request only ever goes to their own authority: not a single request goes to Diyanet for a Malaysian user, or to JAKIM for a user in Türkiye. If you use any other authority's method, no request is made at all and the times are calculated on your device.

In that download, the name of the city you chose and the time of the download do reach that authority's server, and we want you to know it. The addresses used are namazvakitleri.diyanet.gov.tr and vakithesaplama.diyanet.gov.tr (Diyanet), and www.e-solat.gov.my (JAKIM). Your name, your identity, your device identifier and your location are not sent. The downloaded timetable is kept on your device only and is used when there is no internet. You can delete it from settings; if you do, the app goes back to its own calculation.

Use of the internet

The app connects to the internet in three cases. First, the official timetable download described above. Second, asking for nearby mosques and fetching map tiles on the "Mosques" screen — described above under Location permission. Third, Qur'an audio, when you choose to download it: the audio file of the sura you picked is downloaded from mp3quran.net. No information identifying you is sent with that request. Downloaded files are kept on your device only and can be deleted from inside the app.

What is kept on your device

All of it lives in your device's own storage. Uninstalling the app removes it from your device.

About backup: if Android's own backup feature is on, your preferences (chosen city or your approximate last GPS location, notification settings, your missed-prayer and dhikr records) are backed up to your Google account and come back when you install the app on a new phone. This is deliberate: a missed-prayer ledger can be a record kept for years, and losing it when someone changes phones is the worst thing this app could do. That backup sits in your Google account, not with us — we have no server and no access to it. Downloaded Qur'an audio is not included in the backup. If you do not want the backup, you can turn it off in Android's settings.

Notifications

Adhan notifications are set entirely on the device, using the phone's own alarm system. No server and no push service is used to deliver them.

On iPhone

The iPhone version follows the same rules. The differences:

Advertising and analytics

None. The app contains no ad network, no analytics and no crash reporting.

Children

Because the app collects no data from anyone, it collects none from children either.

Content sources and licences
